Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support project managers and superintendents in the seamless execution of projects across various departments. Under the supervision of a Project Manager, a Project Engineer generates cost estimates, schedules, subcontracts, RFI’s, process submittals and change orders.  Experienced Project Engineers will be assigned to manage small construction projects from project conception through closeout. Your organizational skills, ability to multitask, and excellent communication capabilities will be instrumental in ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the planning, organization, and management of project tasks and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and comply with company safety policies. 
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Estimate of materials and labor requirements.
- Generate project schedules, timelines, cost estimates, and subcontracts.
- Prepare and submit budget estimates and cost tracking reports.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports, including permits and licenses.
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
- Assist with project closeout materials, O&M manuals for owners when jobs are complete.
- Assist accounting with monthly subcontractor billings and pay applications and prepare schedule of values.
- Bid coordination and assist with special projects.

Qualifications:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in project coordination or a similar role is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and independently as needed.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
